Trades Baillie's Plumbing: Trades Brand Identity
2 min read
A clean, professional brand identity for a Vancouver Island plumbing company, designed to build trust before the first service call.
The Brief
Baillie’s Plumbing & Drain needed a brand identity that would set them apart in a crowded local trades market. Most plumbing companies on Vancouver Island rely on clip-art wrenches or generic text logos. Baillie’s wanted something that communicated professionalism and reliability from the first impression.
The logo had to work on service vehicle graphics, business cards, invoices, and work uniforms: the everyday touchpoints where a trades brand lives.
The Approach
The design focused on creating a mark that feels established and trustworthy without being overly corporate for a trades business. Clean typography paired with a distinctive icon gives the brand a professional edge while keeping it approachable, the kind of company you’d feel confident letting into your home.
The business card design went through multiple rounds of refinement, balancing the practical information a service company needs to display (phone, email, services, licence numbers) with a layout that still feels clean and considered rather than cluttered.
The Result
The Baillie’s Plumbing identity gives the company a visual presence that punches above the typical trades logo. It reads as professional and established on a truck door, and clean and trustworthy on a business card handed to a homeowner. In an industry where first impressions are often made at someone’s front door, that distinction matters.
